 Drinking from the painless lake.

In a mythical kingdom of Reaalite, it is known that a lake grants people who drink from it perfect physical health and calm minds, and this is where Sumo has to journey to get water from the painless lake so that her brother, who is ill can drink from it and get well and recover fully.

‘To go and come back from the mythical Reaalite kingdom, it will take ten days’, an elder Basorun told her, handing over the route map to her and continued,

‘No one has dared to go to the Reaalite kingdom because of the war waged in the early century by their ancestors who want to live life without pain and death’ he concluded

Sumo asked, ‘Sir, is the water a source of immortality?

‘It isn't, but because all the village has had a taste of the lake, they felt less and fought the ruling power, which left the kingdom in a state of extinction", he answered her.

Sumo continued, ‘Are you telling me that no one lives in the Reaalite kingdom anymore?’ she inquired.

‘I can't tell you as no one knew what the land looked like at present; I wish you the best of luck on your journey, dear Sumo. “the elder hugged her and pointed to the direction of the route she was ought to take, instigating that she is asking too many questions.

Sumo is now partially scared as the journey has an unknown outcome, but the love she has for her brother triggers her mind, and she stands up, aims at her Carmel, and makes her way in the direction Elder Basorun pointed.

Riding to the desert area of the Reaealism kingdom where she came from, she remembers the promise she made to her parents that she would not let anything happen to Zubo, her younger brother.

It is now six months, and Zubo’s health has not changed; Sumo was told by the great herbal man that the strange illness was a generation curse.

She has no relatives and no parents to run to, so this is the only way she said to herself, summoning the courage needed to go on her journey.

After four days of riding, Sumo opened the map and noticed that there was a mountain ahead of her.

She brought out a piece of food in her bag, ate little of it, and took three sips of water she had in her water bottle, alighted from her camel, tightened it down, rested beside it, and slept.

Sumo! Sumo!! , Sumo !! She heard her name and stood up only to see her parents sitting beside her, ‘ do not fidget, my daughter, and do not be scared; your journey ahead will unfold so many secrets about your lineage to you,’ her father said.

"We shall protect you on your journey, but know it is a personal journey you must go on your own’, her mother replied. She opened her mouth to reply only to see that she was dreaming. She opened her eyes and noticed her mouth was agape.

It is morning and her dream made her rest assured that her outcome will be positive. She stood up, looked at her map, and started climbing the mountain upfront, leaving her Carmel at this stage.

After crossing to the other side, she saw a kingdom farther away and walked closer. She walked on alert in case someone or something came her way.

Getting there, she saw that all the people in the kingdom were ill.

She noticed their skin view was discolored and patchy.

Their faces were racked, dry surfaced with glowing fissures.

They also have raised, spiral-like rash patterns and a network of dark veins visible beneath their skin, especially near affected areas, and the areas of skin looked to be melting.

Their bodies Were swelling on one side, protruding growths from ribs, and visible organs glowing.

Their eyes on one side of the face turned fully black and their silhouette shows a hunched.

She was so scared that she wanted to run back to where she was coming from but she just remembered that getting to the Reaalite kingdom is not a day's journey and her brother's life is at stake, whereas, her parents promise her safety so she stays hold still.

They came out in a hundred looking at her as they had never seen a healthy person for a long time and it looked like they were waiting for such a day.

She saw a lake with a golden color, and diamonds sparkled on it, just after the kingdom, and decided to go there.

As she was moving, the people created a route for her to walk through saying nothing, just looking at her and stepping off her way.

She got to the river, collected a bottle of water, and moved in the direction she came, then after she had left the midst of the crowd, she heard, ‘Your Highness, your sick relative will heal first and after five years, he or she will be like us’, A distant voice said and she was worn with fears to know they can speak but just kept quiet and she was embarrassed by her act for not trying to communicate with them.

She turned back and said,’ Forgive me, the people of the Reaalite Kingdom, and I am sorry for my manner; I am here because of my sick brother, and I was directed here by the great herb man, ‘she concluded.

And immediately they heard this, they roared in joy and jubilated as if they won a war.

This same voice spoke again, but this time, the man stepped out.

’ Your ancestors are a royal lineage of this kingdom. We chased your forefathers off this land, and the painless lake cursed us all, and our cure will be only if any of the lineages steps on his or her soil, ‘ he concluded.

So my father and mother are from the Reaalite kingdom, Sumo asked.

‘Yes, our Queen’, they all said together bowing down and kneeling as well.

The man then continues,’ Take us as you see us, our Queen’ Your brother's sickness was to break the generational curses; we are all going through ill with ease for generations even though we have the painless lake.’

Thanks for reading and remain blessed.

Have a great ahead as it grows.
