The Dynamic Weather System of theHunter: Call of the Wild
Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

theHunter: Call of the Wild has some beautiful-looking maps with impressively simulated animals and ballistics. But one of the underrated aspects of the game is the dynamic weather system that makes it feel like you are there and it always keeps changing. What better map to show this than the Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve which is home to the Fallow deer, Roe deer, European Bisons and red foxes?

The Autumn leaves are shining with bright sunlight reflecting from them at one moment and the other it could be a massive cloud approaching.

<center>3</center></center>

You can just see the clouds slowly filling up the blue sky and it gets darker and darker. If you go into the denser parts of the map you will find much more fog than usual.

<center>4</center></center>

Hunting becomes challenging in these densely forested areas. The Fallows and Roe Deer blend well in these forests even without the fog but with fog, it gets even more challenging. Can you spot a Roe deer in this next photo?

While there are some challenging grounds on the western side of the reserve, there are many patches of farmlands placed throughout the other areas which makes for a good hunting spot even in the foggy/rainy weather.

I called in a Roe deer who got excited to hear the noise from my caller. He wanted to investigate and the poor thing didn't know a hunter with a loaded shotgun was waiting patiently for him in the bushes.

<center>6</center></center>

The outposts in this reserve are unique too. I like the bright red among the autumn-coloured leaves.

When it finally rains, the map changes, grass will have droplets on them, the roads will have some puddles of water and the whole place will feel fresh and damped.

<center>8</center></center>

The scattering of sun rays through the foggy forest makes up for an interesting shot. This looks very realistic to me.

<center>9</center></center>

The mountain slopes on the western part of the reserve have a decent population of European Bisons and they are very dangerous. They will get mad at you easily and once they are aggressive they will keep charging at you until one of you is dead.

<center>10</center></center>

This was moments before I made her angry which led to my demise. Their couple of headbutts are more than enough to kill their hunter.

I went back to the southern part of the reserve which was foggy as well. This was an interesting day to show the weather from different parts of the reserve. I love this next shot, it seems like Sheru picked up some scent and now following it. At best, it would just be a load of crap xD

<center>11</center></center>

Sheru likes to go into the water too. But he doesn't go deeper into it, just stays close to me. I don't love the water graphics in this one, it could have been improved a lot more but that is very graphic intensive. I would still have put it on low graphics...lol.

The weather in theHunter: Call of the Wild plays a good role in making this game feel like real. Be it rain, fog or snow (in some maps), the day-night cycle makes it very interesting and it's not all for artistic purposes, the rain makes your footsteps make less noise which is better for stalking your prey.

Let me know which ones are your favourites among all of them. Mine are #3, #9 and #11.
