Been a while I saw a big time brand launch NFT collections, 2021 seemed like their year as they kept on rolling out every week or month. Kinda want to say that e-bay came late to the party, but are they? Never too late to join the NFT party, the NFT communities are always ready to welcome you as long as you got some minting money and gas fee especially when you are using a blockchain like ethereum. 

NFTs are part of crypto technology as they are Non-Fungible Tokens found on the blockchain, this shows that crypto mass inevitable adoption is not far anymore, just few years away. In 2021 companies like McDonald’s, Pepsi, Visa, Nike and other big brands adopted NFTs. While some of them stuck with the brand’s theme. Visa bought some bunch of NFTs like crypto punks, don’t really remember if they bought some bored apes.

# The Birth Of The Genesis
Typical title for the beginning of a new era between EBay and NFT. eBay decided to launch their first collection and name it **Genesis**. The Genesis is launched and powered on the polygon blockchain, talking about cheap NFTs and making it really accessible for their customers. This NFT collection is expected to be in partnership with a sport and music related NFT making platform called OneOf. 

I have never heard of OneOf before except through this EBay NFT launch announcement. So expect NFTs to be sport illustrated. At first when I heard about EBay and NFT launch, I thought the illustration was going to be related to e-commerce since EBay is known for e-commerce activities. 

The beauty of this NFT collection is the price, while others list their NFTs for higher amounts eBay decided to list their for $10. These NFTs will based off a Canadian hockey player called Wayne Gretzky. 


# The Cheap Price
I have used the polygon blockchain to mint NFTs and knowing that it’s eBay choice of blockchain to mint these NFTs, I am impressed. There are going to be less than 500 NFTs in this collection, if the demand of these NFTs get really high, we could see lots of people become millionaires with NFTs they once minted for $10. 

This time they can create good connection between them and their customers.
