 Cuando inició el arco de Marley y Levi hizo su primera aparición me fijé mucho en su diseño. Me gustaba mucho el diseño de WIT porque estaba bastante apegado al patrón de personajes shounen, sin embargo, el diseño de MAPPA lucía bastante bien. Le daba un aspecto más maduro sin que perdiera su encanto. Hay personas a las que no les gustó ese nuevo diseño. Tal vez sea por lo acostumbrado que estaban al diseño original o por la expectativa que tenían con el nuevo estudio de animación a cargo de la serie. A mí, sencillamente me encantó. Adicional a eso, la animación estuvo bastante buena. Las escenas de Levi estaban cargadas de gran dinamismo y era imposible quitarle la vista de encima al pequeño capitán, quien se veía muy elegante con su nuevo uniforme. Pienso que debió ser un gran dolor de cabeza animar un traje con tantos detalles. Ya de por sí, el equipo de maniobras tradicional es bastante complejo. Yo había practicado bastante el diseño inicial, así que quise probar con el nuevo ya que cambia la forma de la cara y la expresión de su rostro lo que lo hace ver más maduro. Y para hacer la experiencia diferente, usé brochas de bolígrafo en lugar de acuarelas o lápices acuarelables. Sólo podía usar los colores estándar de los bolígrafos, así que la paleta con la que trabajaría estaba bastante limitada y tenía que probar mezclando colores para lograr algunos tonos.  Me llevó bastante tiempo terminarlo sobre todo realizar la parte del traje y del cabello. Lo hice a trazos cortos cuidando la presión del lápiz para poder hacer las sombras y luces. Fue bastante agotador pero relajante. El fondo lo trabajé con brochas de tizas. Se supone que la operación había sido en la noche y no estaba segura si con el bolígrafo lograría el efecto de oscuridad que quería, así que decidí usar algo diferente sólo en el fondo. ¡Y así quedó! When the Marley arc began and Levi made his first appearance, I paid a lot of attention to his design. I really liked WIT Studio's design because it was quite faithful to the shounen character pattern, however, MAPPA's design looked really good. It gave him a more mature look without losing his charm. Some people didn't like this new design. Maybe it's because they were used to the original design or because of the expectations they had with the new animation studio in charge of the series. Personally, I simply loved it. In addition to that, the animation was really well done. Levi's scenes were full of great dynamism and it was impossible to take my eyes off the little captain, who looked very elegant in his new uniform. I think it must have been a big headache to animate a costume with so many details. The traditional maneuver gear is already quite complex by itself. I had practiced the initial design quite a bit, so I wanted to try the new one since it changes the shape of his face and the expression on his face, making him look more mature. And to make the experience different, I used pen brushes instead of watercolors or watercolor pencils. I could only use the standard colors of the pens, so the palette I would work with was quite limited and I had to experiment with mixing colors to achieve some tones.  I hope you like it.
