Instagram and Facebook to Generate revenue from blue tick verification
Meta is the parent company of Instagram and Facebook. Like many other companies meta is also looking for ways to generate revenue and now they are going to use their beauty verification for this. Earlier we have seen how Twitter started revenue generation through the blue teeth and now Facebook is also following the same methodology. Social media is a part of life but now it has gone to the next level. Account authenticity is very important in social media to avoid fake and spam articles and this is why the blue tick is a method that plays an important role.

Earlier Twitter was offering this for the selected types of people and it was not an easy process for anyone to get a blue tick. But now things are changed and even it is easily available to anyone provided they are ready to pay the subscription and meet certain guidelines which I am sure or not so much tough to meet. Similarly, meta is also trying to build this revenue model so that they also start generating revenue this way. Companies have a global presence so I am sure that with this initiative they are going to have a huge number of applications for users who will be interested to have verified tags on their accounts. As of now, WhatsApp is not included in the list but we never know if that can also be added later on.

> Meta's paid subscription service is not yet available for businesses, but any individual can pay for verification. Badges - or "blue ticks"- have been used as verification tools for high-profile accounts to signify their authenticity.

This way we can expect that in the next few years, these web 2.0 companies will be struggling with revenue generation as there is going to be a significant transition to web 3.0. Decentralization is the future and we can not ignore it because a major audience has started exploring the options. Social media is not going anywhere but the way we use will surely change and with that, even the ownership is going to change. As of now, these big tech companies are ruling the internet however this situation will change with the next phase of the internet.

The power will shift to the content creators and they will own the content with no censorship and there is going to be no role for any third-party intermediary. It's fair also as to why should any user need to deal with certain policies set up by any organization and that too in social media.

***Thank you so much***
