Pearly Sunday: Attending Sunday Meeting
<div class="text-justify">
What a pleasant day, Hivers!

Have you ever thought about the purpose of your life? Well, even religious people like me often find ourselves reflecting on that question. For today’s blog, I’d like to share a glimpse into one part of my weekly routine — attending our Sunday meeting.

Some may wonder, *“What’s so good about attending religious meetings?”* Others might even assume it’s a waste of time. And honestly, I can’t blame them for having that kind of mindset. After all, we were all created with different perspectives in life.

For me, attending meetings has become an essential part of my routine because it gives me hope and peace of mind. I don’t really care what others say — no matter what we do in life, people will always have something to say. I’ve even been labeled a “religious fanatic” (even though I’m not), but I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t bother me anymore.

As you can see in the photo, I was so happy taking a selfie before heading to our Kingdom Hall. I wore a white pearl necklace to match my dress. Since I was wearing a black dress, the pearl necklace was a perfect choice — simple, elegant, and classy.

Initially, I planned to tie my hair up because I thought it looked better that way. But my sisters insisted it would be best to leave my hair down. So I agreed. After all, they’re the ones who would see me in person and could give me honest feedback on how I looked.

As I looked in the mirror, I could see how I’ve grown to be genuinely happier day by day.

Fast forward, we drove to the Kingdom Hall and arrived early, which gave us plenty of time to do some quick touch-ups on our hairstyles.

The topic during the meeting was all about choosing the right words even when you're in an argument to avoid further misunderstandings. It's normal to feel angry or upset sometimes. After all, we're imperfect humans. We tend to make mistakes, often repeating them. But as Christians, we are taught to cultivate a loving and patient attitude. When misunderstandings arise, we’re encouraged to resolve them respectfully and peacefully, rather than ignoring the issue.

Hurtful words can really sting. It’s like being wounded — sometimes so deeply that even everyday tasks become hard. But just as physical wounds need a doctor’s care, emotional wounds also need proper attention. Ignoring them only delays healing.

Similarly, when we’re hurt by someone we trust or love, the pain can feel just as intense. And if we pretend it doesn’t matter, the healing process can take even longer.

One thing I’ve learned is that getting angry is a natural reaction, but remaining angry is a choice. If we truly want to heal, we need to let go and move forward.

I’ve been trying hard to apply that in real life. When someone hurts me, I try not to dwell on the reason I might dislike them. Instead, I focus on the long list of things I do appreciate about that person. And honestly, it’s worth being patient.

Time flew by, and before I knew it, the meeting had ended. I really enjoyed it. I can’t deny that the message felt like it came straight from God. That’s one of the many reasons I love this routine — attending our Sunday meetings.

That’s all for today’s blog. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!
