0.000 HBDThink, But Also Act
<div class="text-justify"> One of the greatest undoings of a lot of people in this era is that they continue to think, expecting time to wait for them, without acting on their thoughts. It does not matter how beautiful your thoughts are, one thing to know is that they will not be delivered until you have acted on them. There is nothing that works until it is made to work. Your thoughts have to be empowered by actions in order for them to yield the required and desired results. If you think and not act, it is almost equal to not thinking or dreaming at all. This is because it is the action you put into your thoughts that will produce results. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/photo/person-writing-on-notebooks-5191391)</center> When a farmer get a seed, it does not matter how long he holds on to the seed or for how long he has kept it, it will neither multiply nor bring any yield. However, the moment the farmer plants the seed, then the future of the seed will be opened up to be realized and it will germinate, grow, and bring forth fruits. In the same way, the way the seed is, is the way your thoughts are. Until you have acted on your thoughts (which is like planting the seeds), you are not ready to get the result you seek. You will be surprised how many people have had brilliant ideas in the past that never saw the light of the day, not because some external factors impeded the growth of the idea, but because they did not act on it. It is worthy to note that the biggest opposition to someone's idea is not some forces on the outside, but their own inaction. Without applying action to something, how do you expect to realise it? The reminds me of what one of my mentors normally says; "if you want to get something going, you have to move it yourself, otherwise it will remain in its state of rest." You have brooded over that idea long enough, it is time to take up actions towards it if you want it to yield anything positive. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/photo/brown-wooden-scrabble-tiles-7462586)</center> One thing to know is that your ideas, just like many other things, can expire with the passage of time. This is why if you delay to put in action when you need to, in the long run, it may render the idea obsolete. As you think of what to do, the next thing is to follow it up with actions. You will not know what your ideas are capable of generating and the unimaginable output you can get until you have acted on your ideas. Of course, you will agree with me that it is only input that will guarantee output. It is the kind of input you put in that will determine the level of output you will get. Why some people do not act may be because of fear of not knowing what the result of the action will bring. But I tell you, it is better to take the action and see for yourself than to live in assumptions of what might not be true. When you take the step, you will be surprised that the results will be amazing. But even if you fail at the action, it is still better than not taking the action at all. Instead of trying to convince yourself that the step you are taking will yield negatively, why not use the same energy to convince yourself that the step will yield positively? Then go ahead and take it. There may not be a guarantee of the result of the step that you are about to take, but if you do not take it, then you have already concluded that you have failed at it. You can only know the outcome of a step or an action after you have taken it. As they say that "nothing teaches lessons as much as experience," but to get experience then you have to be a doer, not just a thinker. I am not saying that thinking is not good. Of course it is good and a very necessary requirement of success, but as you think, it should not stop at just thoughts, they should be followed up by right and prompt actions. ***Thanks for reading*** <div class=phishy>Peace on y'all</div> https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/samminator/htu0yqPT-unknown-2.png https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/samminator/242humvD58PJ6Y9Tgr8yEcPhbgmtiQCBYijcLDxqsQrjETUiqVUGwaYMZX3uuxN1C9fV6.gif </div>
