Oh Life , what should I do with you ?
# Can we love our sufferings ?

Just when I was preparing to fight with one health issue, another has now surfaced, which prevents the solution to the first problem. In Feb 2019, I was diagnosed with a cyst in the liver. And the doc had advised me to loose weight, to get better. And I determined to live for myself more , get better , get on a regular exercise schedule and reduce weight. I did a [post](https://peakd.com/health/@sanjeevm/when-you-start-to-live-for-yourself) on this blockchain on that. It has been 9 months since that post, and I have managed to reduce my weight by more than 10%, as advised by the doctor. And now I was so much acquainted with the exercise that I was enjoying, feeling much better after reducing my weight.

And I was planning to go for longer runs, reduce more weight, and go to the stadium to play football ( its my all time favorite, I have been a University level player) but there comes the blow. I started to have backache around 15 days back, and it started to feel bad. Initially I thought,it might be because of more pressure, due to exercise plus some household helps in lock down and reduced them, but they did not help. So after a week, I consulted our doctor, and went for all the tests he advised. 

And as per the reports, I have **Lumbarization of S1 vertebra, along with Minimal end plate osteophytes noted at lower lumbar levels.** And to add to that, the Eosinophil level is pretty high, in fact more the double the standard, vitamin D is at Insufficiency level ( I wonder how, as I run in the morning). 

So all these prevents me to stop my exercise now, before I take care of the spine. The doctor has prescribed medicines, but he says its important to do exercise specific to the spine, as that is going to make it better. So at least half an hour of spine exercise is the first thing to do now. He said, probably I can start running after two weeks, if I feel comfortable, but that too only after completing the spine exercise.

I usually prefer all outdoor things more and its a bit difficult to get into the new practice, but that is the only choice I have. And I was doing a bit of gardening on the roof top ( share that in another post), but that too is prevented now. 

So here I am - settling with new mind set to get things right in order. But while doing that, I was thinking, what should we call this ? **Enjoying the sufferings ?**

After we get to a certain age, health related problems will come. And apart from that, we have lot of other stress to take care of our family, job etc. But our health is the first priority and we will have to deal with them with all positive attitudes, till at least our kids are independent. What do you say ?
