The joy and contentment derived from earning money for a job you did or a service you rendered is unexplainable; especially when it's your ***first time.***

It was the year 2016, I just wrote my Waec (West African Examination Council)Exams to gain entry into the University the previous year and wanted to be engaged in something rewarding instead of just siting at home eating, sleeping and watching TV and waiting until I got admission into the Tertiary Institution. Though I had zero knowledge about most of the things I'm involved in now like Crypto, programming, blogging... I knew in my heart that I was a puzzle whose pieces were slowly coming together one after the other and will eventually become complete.
That was when I had the opportunity to be the Personal Assistant to a friend who was a model and had just won a ***Miss something of something..***(don't ask me 🙃) and was studying Law in Benin Republic but wanted to organize her PET project here in Nigeria and needed some financial assistance from some influential people in my state (Rivers State).
She had an Uncle who was the second-in-command to the traditional ruler, King Ateke Tom of her hometown, Okrika. So through this relationship, she had the opportunity to meet the King and seek his financial assistance. For her trip to her hometown to see the King, she needed a personal assistant to help with her bag, fan... and that's where I came to the rescue.🦸♀️

" Well, since I couldn't become a model as I wished, it would feel good to be the P.A of a model...kind of close", I thought to myself...
The day came and we made our trip via sea to the place. We waited for hours when we got to the Palace because there were several other villagers and people who needed to see the King too. We waited from around 2pm till 7pm and when our turn finally came, we went, knelt down before him in respect while my friend's uncle introduced us to the King. We were still kneeling when she told him about her project and how much she needed for it. He agreed an gave her 50,000 naira ($100)cash for it.

When we got back home to Port Harcourt, she counted 5,000 naira ($10) and gave me.
I was so excited because first, I wasn't expecting such amount of money. Infact, I wasn't expecting her to pay me at all. The fact that she chose me to be her P.A, took me on an amazing journey to see a King, fed with with a mouth-watering meal and lodged me in a 5 star hotel was enough for me.
I felt like I had hit a jackpot. I felt a certain sense of responsibility come on me. Like I earned money legitimately and without having to steal or cheat someone else. I was really proud of myself and grateful to her for the opportunity to render my humble services amd get paid for it. This made my parents both happy and proud of me also.
I still look forward to such amazing opportunities not for the money but to render my services for the good of humanity because her PET project was going to help young girls of my age and this was what was most important to me..
