## Experiment with your photography I do have my comfortable area and what I am used and like to do. But now and then, and sometimes for nor explainable reason, I feel like to try and create something completely different from what I am comfortable doing. Sometimes I am successful and I end up with some images that I love. Other times, not so much. On this day. I didn't set up the camera before the show. And it was a short performance. So when I saw the first images on the display, I saw that the settings were not right. What did I do? For some reason I looked at those first photos and thought I would be able to work them and come out with some cool images. In my personal opinion I have to say that I love these images and how they turned out. I really can feel the energy of the performance and I hope that I can transmit it to you. Also know that the professional photographers out there must be crying and thinking, "what is this guy talking about? This are awful images." But I don't really care much. Because these are my photos, I love them and they turned out exactly how I wanted them. Art is subjective and I will keep saying it as many times as I have to. We all have different taste and it is like if you don't like it.             ## Experimental Photography Remember that experimental photography can be scary and you will be judge more than ever by other photographers. But remember that it is your art and if you feel like to experiment, go for it. Experimental photography refers to a broad and diverse approach to capturing images that goes beyond traditional techniques and conventions. It involves exploring new methods, concepts, and ideas to create unique and unconventional photographs. Experimental photographers often push the boundaries of what is considered typical or expected in photography by experimenting with different tools, materials, processes, and approaches. Some common techniques and elements used in experimental photography include: Alternative processes: Experimental photographers may employ non-traditional techniques such as cyanotype, pinhole photography, photograms, multiple exposures, or cameraless photography to create abstract or ethereal images. Manipulation: Photographers may manipulate the image during or after the capture process by using techniques like double exposure, digital compositing, collages, or physical alterations to the printed photograph. Unconventional equipment: Experimental photographers may use unconventional or homemade cameras, lenses, or other photographic equipment to achieve unique visual effects. Mixed media: Combining photography with other art forms such as painting, drawing, sculpture, or digital manipulation is a common approach in experimental photography. Conceptual exploration: Experimental photographers often focus on expressing ideas, emotions, or narratives through their work, pushing the boundaries of traditional representation and challenging viewers' perceptions. Light and long exposures: Photographers may experiment with long exposure times, capturing movement and creating light trails, blurs, or other effects. Digital manipulation: Experimenting with digital editing software and techniques allows photographers to transform and manipulate their images, altering colors, textures, and shapes.
