Afternoon everyone….

As most of you who have been following me for any length of time. I’ve been trying to build a detached structure on my property as a wood shop for my business. It’s been a grueling two year process, but the actual construction just recently commenced.

I believe my last update on this project was that they had dug for the footings and were awaiting inspection. 

***Well….***

We passed the inspection for the footings last Tuesday. The footings were poured that afternoon. They needed to cure for twenty four hours before the blocking could start.

***Mother nature had different plans….***

It rained here Thursday, Friday making it a delay in the blocking. They started the blocking on Monday morning. They set the four corners that day ensuring they were square and level with each other.

Yesterday they began filling in the rest of the walls. They got the entire right side and most of the front done as well.

***Unfortunately….***

It’s another fun rainy day here. We have become Seattle east coast version lately. We’ve had more days of rain in the last six weeks than I can ever remember. It’s ridiculous….

So as of today this is all we have completed. The electrician was out yesterday to discuss where the trenching needs to be for the run of the electrical wires.
