I'm not sure how long this post will be so before I lose you I just want to say thanks and give **MAD PROPS** to @welshstacker!!
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmdiUU5tzK3CVMdYpFgFwGjwjniRsDKsixp527UeQSap7B/image.png)

The guy is an SSG/SGS **ROCKSTAR** and I just can't say enough good things about him, so I won't ;) (Welshie, DM me for list of accolades XD).

# Change

It's necessary for survival, from the important things in life to the trivial. I know I am not saying anything new but change happens whether we embrace it or not. As with most proposals for change (at any level) there is support and opposition, discussion, and a resolution. Again, I know you know this but I mention it to give **PROPERS** (see above) to @buggedout for [getting the ball rolling](https://hive.blog/silvergoldstackers/@buggedout/seeking-reform-for-ssg-community-voting-service) on some possible changes to our community, specifically the @ssg-community account.

It's not easy to put yourself out there like that as you never can tell how folks will react and it's no fun to start a shitstorm, so thanks @buggedout. I was bummed when you turned over the keys and announced you were taking a break from the platform. Your contributions the SSG/SGS community are many and I bet most of them are not general knowledge, such as the fact that you have never stopped helping Welshie with the bot behind the scenes. I even saw you in the comments now and again!

I am not a programmer but I do know (I think) that computer code is kind of a living thing and needs lots of attention to keep running at optimal performance so, while you may not have been publicly engaged this last year or so, I believe your behind the scenes work has definitely helped keep the few of us that still post (and get an upvote) together.

# The Vote

Today @ssg-community posted a proposal for change and is asking for us to vote on these changes. I know clicking to another post in the middle of this post is annoying but [go read the post](https://hive.blog/silvergoldstackers/@ssg-community/it-s-time-to-vote-calling-all-members-speak-now-and-be-heard) if you don't know about the proposed changes (you can even return to this post to read the rest if you want). **;)**

# The (abridged) Proposal :)
There are just two proposals on the table, one is a "Vote Allocation Accrual" and boils down to this.
>What I am proposing here is that instead of getting say a 10% vote every day, if you don’t post for 3 full days then your vote allocation accrues and you will get a 3 x 10% = 30% vote (capped at 100%).

Now that is just one sentence form the proposal but I think it's a pretty straight forward idea. I would like to see all the specifics (numbers) for how this would work so we all know what to expect but I would vote yes for this if I had to vote today.

The second proposal is a "Tag Qualification and Enforcement" proposal. I like the tag qualification.
>Tag Qualification is about setting up ssg-community to only vote on subscribing members posts which use the #SilverGoldStackers tag.

Again, a straight forward idea. Use the #silvergoldstakers tag, get a vote. Obviously, one would only use the tag on a precious metals-related post and this is where the vote allocation accrual comes into play. Post about metals once or twice a week and get your accrued vote(s). Post [other](https://hive.blog/dcity/@summertooth/attn-dcitizens-the-choice-is-clear) quality content, no ssg-community vote. I'm good with that.

# Enforcement
Shit. Here we go. This one is not so cut and dry in the proposal and frankly, I cannot vote on the proposal as a whole until the enforcement section is expanded and clarified.

I fucking hate rules. I know, they have their place, and I even follow some in my daily life, but writing a set of rules quantifying *acceptable content* is tricky at best. From the proposal,
>The Tag Enforcement is about ensuring that only relevant content is posted to the tag.

Okay, this sentence seems straight forward and maybe it is just that simple, *"relevant" = precious metal related.*

I think the operative word there is *related*.
- Post a coin a day with some info on said coin like @ronavel
- Wrap the coin you are showing in some epic fiction like @kerrislravenhill
- Get in on one of Tag Master @silverd510's daily tags
- Sprinkle your metal posts with some videos of the coins like @silversaver888
- Drop some copper rounds on a hike for some lucky hiker to find in the future like me
- Document your trips to the LCS, pawn shop, thrift store as you search for PMs (@fat-elvis or @monsterjamgold style)
- Talk about the market
- Post a deals you find online even if you didn't buy.
- Hold a raffle

Okay, I'll stop because I think you get the point. Posting content "relevant" to precious metal is not as hard as it might seem. Be creative, you can do it, but if you post a video of yourself [almost being killed by a Canadian goose](https://hive.blog/bikethursday/@summertooth/it-s-a-first-bikethursday-post-ride-with-me-along-the-columbia-river) you don't get that vote.

I would only ask for the "relevant content" and the "enforcement" (barf) sections in the @ssg-community proposal to be more clear before we put them to a vote. If these parameters are not clearly spelled out at the beginning I believe it will lead to some (avoidable) problems.

# Summery
Nope.

I am just about typed-out here so I guess you have to read the whole post. I'll just say that this is my opinion and I am just one of many here so I invite you, if you feel so inclined, to make your voice heard on this as well. I know I'd be glad to read what you think, whether I agree or not I love this community and I am interested in what you think.
