# Walking the highline Part 2

The Highline is a almost one and a half mile elevated Park on the west Side of Manhattan that is well and truly worth taking a walk on if you visit NYC

It has been made on the old closed down rail lines that used to go to and from the Meat Packing district back in the day

This is a second post of shots walking along the Highline last year Focusing on the walkways and such,  I ended the last post mentioning i was not the only one walking the Highline and in this first shot you see a few other people walking the Highline, this was about 7AM, its gets a lot busier during the day especially around midday and early evenings

The almost one and a half mile walk on the Highline may be to much for some, but that is OK as they have little seating areas like the one in the shot above spread along the Highline, so do not let the length of it be a concern you can take a break while walking it if you feel the need.

I went with B&W for the first couple of shots for this post, but now back to color and another one of the spots on the walk where you can sit and take a break, with the trees and bushes around it muffles the sounds of the city and makes a nice quiet spot along the walkway

In this last shot you can see a few joggers heading my way, but that wasn't the focus of this shot for me as such, its showing  the high rises all around the Highline, some of the buildings along the walk and the views down the city Streets are cool to see while walking the Highline and I will feature some of those in future posts.
