Hooray! It was a long weekend and everyone was anticipating it with a good outlook that this weekend would be a worthwhile and enjoyable one. All Saints and All Souls day is one of those times of the year when families get the chance to reunite to commemorate their departed loved ones. But this weekend the weather seemed to be not liking it and wanted to spoil the fun. It leashes its wrath through Tropical Storm Paeng which hit many parts of the Philippines including our town. There was flooding in the low-lying places including our residence as rivers overflowed. But I will skip that part and just focus on the happy and memorable part of my weekend. **This weekend's fam bam fun experience was brought to us by the sea, sun, and beach.** After the storm, the next day was a beautiful sunny day. The sun shined more brightly. What a perfect day to go out! And we did just that. Together with my husband and children, later that afternoon, we went out to the sea for a swim and to enjoy the beach and the sunset. My hometown is a coastal town and the beach is just a few walks away from our house. The perks of being in a coastal town are that you get to enjoy the beach, the sea, and the sun right at your doorstep. # The Sea The calm sea glittered in front of us hurting my eyes. The sun was shining brightly that afternoon and its rays hit the surface of the sea. I couldn't look directly at it. Thankfully, I got some help from a coconut tree that almost fell on the beach.  I realized how I missed the sea. It's been a while since I last went out here. I only come here with my family when my husband is around so he could look after the kids while I do my thing- taking photos, LoL 🤣! The sea is so inviting with its calmness, glittering surface, clearness, and warmth. Dipping into it seemed so therapeutic. Even I who only watched it couldn't help but admire its magnificence. Something inside of me felt lighter. There was inner peace felt at the moment as I hear the soft sound of little waves crashing to the shore. My children couldn't wait to run into the sea. They had been anticipating this day since the start of the weekend because I promised I would bring them here. Splish! Splash! I could see how happy they were. All I see were happy faces and cute giggles as they boasted to me and their father how they improved their swimming skills.    The coconut tree that almost fell to the ground provided extra fun. Its leaves hanging, almost kissing the sea was made into a temporary swing by the father. There they could swing, jump and swim. I felt a little jealous of being a child. Simple things can make them happy. The sea is indeed a child magnet. Who doesn't love the sea?    # The Beach While the kids were having fun in the sea, I was able to do my thing-capturing the beauty of the beach. The beach may not be as beautiful as Boracay with its white sand but it is equally captivating. I love to walk on this pebble beach. It provides free massage on my soles.  I walked barefoot to feel the tingling sensation on my soles while I was capturing scenery and just anything that caught my attention. This coconut tree highlights this part of the beach. I just love how it fights for its life against the harshest weather conditions. It's telling me that nothing can bring it down. It will fight to live. 😄. I love the fighting spirit of this tree. Indeed, the tree of life so to speak.  I found teen boys playing with the coconut tree. They climbed, jumped, and swing from it. They were having fun. Look what youth can do. Being carefree is one of its perks.   Manong was set to go fishing in the sea. With the help of his friends, they were able to carry the boat to the sea. I watched them in admiration as they helped each other while on my mind, I was wishing Manong luck for an abundant catch.   I then found a perfect spot to relax and watch the sunset. A bench under a tree while being with my date? I can only imagine how romantic it would be. 😁   # The Sunset My most favorite part of nature is the sunset. And one of the things I love to do is sunset watching. I'd say the most beautiful I see is here in my hometown. It was at my request to come to the beach later in the afternoon so we can watch the sunset. I want my children to see this beauty and appreciate it. With a blast of yellow and orange colors, it set the ambiance to a whole new level. A moment of nostalgia was what I felt as I remembered my dear lola who used to bring me here when I was young. My memories with her is like the unforgettable beauty of the sunset, I am loving and longing for. (*Remembering her love this All Soul's Day)* I couldn't help myself to capture the beauty of the sunset. I even asked my girl to pose as I angled my camera to get a perfect shot. Glad she never complained and let me enjoy the things I love. Such a sweet girl.  <center><sub><b>My Baby Whale 😆</b></sub></center> **Here are more of my sunset photos I love to share with you. I hope this gives you joy seeing the beauty of it and inspires you to see the beauty of life even after a horrendous storm.**      # The Wrap We waited until the place turned dark when the sun hid itself below the horizon. It was fun moment for the kids. Someday they will remember this precious moment being with the family. As for me, nothing beats spending time with the people that really matters especially in a place I loved... in my hometown by the beach, sea and sun. I love capturing every moment for when it all pass, all I have are memories and photos.
