A child aged about 8 years old was going alone in a dark forest. Perhaps he had lost his way. The whole day had passed since he left the house. He was also feeling hungry and was losing his courage. As the darkness increased, his courage was left, but now he did not know where to go. Due to fear, he started crying loudly, but there was probably no one to hear his voice in that dense forest.

 Edwin is the child of a simple family in a town in Ghana, the Central Madagascar tribes. Their family makes their living by making crafts from bamboo sticks. There are only four members in the family; two parents, Edwin and his 12-year-old sister Kaikara, all live very lovingly. 

Edwin was a very thinking and artistic type of child since childhood. That is why he was named Edwin. Edwin was in the third grade at a town school, but he was notorious for his misbehaviour there. complaints came from his school. Edwin's father was fond of smoking cigars, and he used to smoke cigars even during work time. These cigars had a special aroma, and their smoke was not astringent.

Affected by the smell of smoke, Edwin thought that his father was enjoying smoking cigars very much, and he thought that he too would smoke a cigar sometime.


Yesterday, when his father extinguished his cigar, he put it in a corner and forgot to keep it. Coincidentally, when the work was over, Edwin reached his workplace and saw that a very big cigar was kept there and no one was there in that place. The mischievous Edwin, wanting to satisfy his suppressed desire, started smoking a cigar. At first, he had a bout of coughing, but then he dared to take several puffs and he enjoyed it.


 Then suddenly, someone called him from outside, and he threw away the burning cigar out of fear and ran away. The burning cigar fell on the bamboo sticks and slowly caught fire. Everything prepared by his father got burnt. With great difficulty, the house was saved from burning.

A neighbour told Edwin's father that your son was at your workplace before the fire broke out. Hearing this, the father got angry and beat Edwin very hard. In this anger, Edwin could not sleep that night, and the next morning he got up early and ran away from the house. 

While walking, he had reached a forest, and now he was missing home and was feeling very hungry too. Exhausted from hunger, Edwin lay down under a tree in the forest and, being tired, fell asleep. After some time, when he closed his eyes, he saw that there were three or four men and a woman standing around him.


One of them asked, who are you then why were you sleeping here, where are your parents. Have you run away from home by committing any theft or crime?


Edwin was scared after hearing so many questions at once and did not tell where he had come from and where he was. He started crying loudly and told them that he was very hungry. Strangers gave him two pieces of bread and fruit to eat, hungry Edwin take the food and ate it quickly. He was very relieved after eating the food and he decided that he would not tell them his address anymore.
 
Despite repeated requests, he did not say anything to those strangers. All four men and women were of a special species, and their job was to catch snakes from human settlements and put their venom back into the forests. Apart from this, they knew how to treat snake-bite people and also knew some mantras and exorcisms through which his family's expenses were met. 

The woman who was with them did not have any children. She thought that I would take care of this child-like her own child. Thinking this, they all took Edwin with them to their clan on the way to the forest, and then slowly the days started passing. 

When Edwin reached their house with these people, he came to know that these people catch snakes and extract their poison and sell them in the market to make medicines, apart from this, these people have a lot of knowledge about herbs. . Edwin was a very curious boy from the beginning, so he was very ***impressed*** by their works and he decided to learn all these arts by staying with them, when he was at home he did not like his father's work at all.



Edwin's parents searched for him a lot, and when he could not be found, they were exhausted and disappointed and stopped their search.


Many years had passed, and Edwin was now 17-18 years old, having learned the work of catching snakes, extracting their venom, and treating people bitten by snakes from his new parents, and he had become very famous in the surrounding areas. Edwin learned their work diligently and due to his sharp intellect, he also started taking medicines for the treatment of skin patients and other incurable patients herbs apart from snake bite treatment his name also became famous in that area, but his new parents gave his name. It was changed to Snakehunter.


Now the memory of his family members was gone and he had completely forgotten the address of his house.


After the fire incident, Edwin's father also became very depressed and surrounded by diseases. He mostly stayed in bed. Her mother was also tired of crying and was doing her work herself due to her husband's illness. Edwin's sister was now 20 years old, and she also used to help her mother.


Life was progressing like this.


One day Edwin's elder sister Kaikara was passing through the forest for some work when a very dangerous black snake came to that place and bit Kaikara. Some people who were going on the same road saw a young woman lying on the way and they understood that it was cut by a snake. One of them knew that those who treat people bitten by snakes live somewhere in these forests. All of them picked up the kaikara without delay and went to that clan after about 2 hours they reached their clan and coincidentally Edwin was present there.


Edwin understood on seeing the patient that it had been bitten by a very poisonous snake. He immediately instructed his companions and made the patient lie down in a tub of water, put some herbal extracts in his mouth, and recited some mantras etc. The treatment continued, meanwhile a man brought Kaikara's mother to the same, after many efforts, Kaikara started coming to her senses.


Edwin was recognizing something after seeing his mother and his mother and sister also realized that it was their lost Edwin. Mother and daughter looked at Edwin with great affection and asked are you our Edwin. Hearing this, Edwin also got tears in his eyes and he started crying by hugging his sister.


The people of the clan also saw this compassionate meeting, all of them were also very happy.


Edwin's mother said, my dear child, now come back home, on this Edwin told them, mother, now my life is to save the lives of people, now I am not only your son, now I am the son of the whole society, so whenever you will remember me, I will come to meet you but cannot leave from here.


Saying this, Edwin sent his mother and sister to their house, and both of them went to their house with sad hearts.
