On my photography trips in the marshland and in the wetlands of rivers and Lakes I often encounter the great reed warbler that is singing there in the reed. Especially in spring this bird is good to photograph, in summer or late spring it is more difficult because during this time they often sing in the reed but don't get on the top of the reeds to be better seen and heard. When I see them perching on a stick of reed I always need to take my camera and take pictures of them even though I already have several pictures of this bird. Usually this birds looks for a place to sing on a reedling but sometimes you can also observe them when they are perching on a branch of a tree. The great reed warbler has a loud song and you can hear it already from far away. But since it has a very good camouflage color and often is hiding in the reed it is not really the easiest bird to spot.  *Great Reed Warbler sitting and singing on the reed.
