### Hello Lions,





In my last post, I talked about how [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) is still onboarding new users in the [hive](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive) [blockchain](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/blockchain) and also keeping them hooked with their new [microblogging](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-microblogging) platform [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads). I personally thought the huge traffic into Leofinance due to the adoption campaign would decrease by the time the campaign ends. But to my surprise, even after 1 month of the end of the mega campaign giveaway, Leofinance is doing amazing work with fetching new users from outside the Hive chain and is also quite successful in making them stay with their fantastic Leofinance environment. A special thanks go to [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads) as it is the center of attraction in this vast Leoverse right now and whenever I visit this awesome micro [social media](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-social-media), I see overwhelming activity from my fellow lions any time of the day which clearly shows what a fantastic product they have made.







But this wouldn't be possible without the tireless efforts of the whole team working day and night in the background of Leofinance. As I have joined [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads) and become a decent user since its launch day, I have experienced firsthand how much they love their products and also how they listen and react to the community. If I am not wrong, the Leothreads and the brand new UI front end both got launched on May 1st this year, so only 2 months have passed so far since its launch, but you would be surprised to see how many updates they have made unto it and how many glitches and errors they have removed or rectified to make the user experience better to a certain point where you start to get addicted using this platform like you are with [Twitter](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-twitter), Reddit, [Whatsapp](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-whatsapp) or [Facebook](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-facebook) etc.



Now, there were numerous numbers of updates that got added to Leofinance UI and it will be unrecognizable for anyone if you compare the initial product and the one we are using right now. However, in this post, I am about to talk about some recent updates in Leofinance that I really liked. Some of them are small and others are big, but no doubt all of them are useful and enhancing the utility looks and usefulness of this platform and helping users with a better environment. So, without further ado, let us move forward and know about them.



### `Announcement Pop-Up`

If you log into the new [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) UI, you will be seeing this new announcer message update being popped up at your below right side. It is a small update recently added by the team where you can see new announcements, official posts or information regarding an update. They have given us a quick and easy window to find out what latest events are happening in the whole Leoverse just by one click. 


### `New Post sharing update`

The second update is a bit bigger and also makes it look cooler when someone shares their post links on [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads). Nah, no more spammy-looking threads with a post link and the #gosh tag but instead the UI has got updated itself to show them in a more appealing way. As I shared in the screenshot, you can see in the box it is showing a part of the thumbnail or a picture from the post, showing which front end the author used to publish the post (peakd in this case), some lines from the first paragraph of the post to get a glimpse of the content in the post without the need to open it up, displaying if the author is of high reputation and also providing 2 separate switches for users to view the post in both of the front ends. To be honest, it is looking way more cooler and informative as well rather than seeing only a post link in threads and no doubt that now, all of our posts will catch more traffic due to this eye-soothing update.


### `Gifs and emojis`

[social media](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-social-media) is all about expressing your feelings, imagination and thoughts without getting blocked by restriction. It is also important to be more visible and unique on any social media to get more attention from others and with mere words only, it was almost impossible to stand out from the crowd. I think team Leo has felt the same way and that’s why they brought 2 new updates back to back and implemented Gifs and emojis into threads! If you ask me, I liked these 2 particular updates the most as I myself use to chat with smilies and gifs a lot in Discord or elsewhere. I think it makes your words more alive and appealing to others and helps you to get noticed quickly rather than with just words. Whenever I open [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads), I always start my session time by posting at least 1 good gif with a random feeling from my heart and gladly, you Lions even love it more as I have seen on threads. These 2 updates may look small to some but both of them have changed the way we communicate in Leothreads significantly. 


### `Username dropdown list`

Another small update that recently got added into [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) is the auto-tagging. Just like you saw in peakd front end, when you start typing any user’s name on threads starting with a @ sign, similar names will start to appear with a drop-down and in most cases, you will find your tag person after typing the first 2-4 letters and can them easily click the name from the drop-down to write it, rather than typing the whole name which can be a pain sometimes. Just for an easy example, how many of you actually remember the last 4 numbers of @taskmaster4450? Well, now you don't have to.. just type his first name letters and voila.. see him appearing in the drop-down list and you just need to click on it. But, beware of fake or clone accounts and I would suggest the team also to add the reputation besides the usernames to avoid this problem.








### `The community tab`

The community tab is the newest addition or Update to [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) and the team is really excited about this particular major update that just got launched, added and now working fully into the UI, as you can see at the left corner and just below the Articles button. The community tab is a one-click solution for anyone to quickly visit that community’s [hive](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive) main page without leaving the Leo UI. Just like you see in peakd, it has all the necessary information and different tabs to roam around the communities quickly. Whenever you select the community tab and select any of them as I am choosing Splinterlands in here, you can see some basic information about that particular community like total member count, totally distributed rewards, total posters and Language etc. You also can browse through different tabs - Trending, Hot, new, payout, members and Activity and I really happy to receive this update, as it will help us curate different tribes (especially if you have their layer 2 tokens staked in your account) quickly and easily and we don't have to leave our lovely Leofinance UI to do so.

Last but not least, what the team is doing is really worth appreciating and though the UI is still not perfect (I don't even expect that as it only launched 2 Months now), their dedication and tireless efforts are speaking out loud about the true potential of this project. I think Leofinance is a great bonding where real visionaries are working with real doers, or such huge developments would have not been possible to make in such a short span of time. I really believe in them and with all my fellow Lions, I am also starting to dream about Leofinance becoming the best [social media](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-social-media) platform worldwide.
