*
โMay I have the strength to change the things I can change, may I have the patience to accept the things I cannot change, above all may I have the intelligence to know how to distinguish them.โ
*
SAINT THOMAS MOOR
*** *** Yesterday, while reflecting on the products and things that have disappeared or changed over the years, I found myself crossing my reflection with another one. >Yeah I know, my mind is really twisted, you still haven't seen how twisted it can be though! I was thinking a bit about something that, over time, has changed and I liked less and something that, on the contrary, I appreciate more today, a food, a brand or anything that in any case had made this process of improvement or worsening . Inevitably my little head moved from food (yes, I was reflecting on some cookies and snacks from the past to make that comparison I'm talking about above) to change. I was thinking about the various evolutions that can be had, about improvements and personal growth, but at a certain point I began to think from the opposite point of view. I am always striving for improvement, therefore, I try to see my evolution always aimed in that direction; not everyone, however, manages to change for the better and, the worst thing, is that sometimes people can even make it worse. >For some, getting worse is a titanic undertaking since, worse than they are, it seems really difficult, but they succeed! But how do they do it? I try to do everything for my self-improvement, I study, I read, I commit myself, I practice, I follow the example of some people, I have chosen my mentors, but all these things could also have negative meanings. We can read destabilizing things that perhaps lead us to be suspicious and pessimistic about life, we can practice and repeat a wrong behavior many times until it becomes a habit (a bad one anyway) and, the crazy thing, is that for this you don't even need too much effort! You can choose bad examples and bad mentors; in short, the wrong choices and behaviors can be many and can inevitably lead to a deterioration. Sure, I know I haven't discovered hot water with this thought of mine, but I think it's important to stop and reflect on these things once in a while. Every day I strive to grow and evolve and these small points of the situation need me and push me to make the right choices, to make the right decisions. As with everything, even in this case, in life you have to be selective; it is necessary to focus on quality rather than quantity, better little but good information than a series of endless bullshit placed one after the other; better a great example that proves things with facts than following thousands of artfully created puppets on Instagram or maybe "fuffagurus" from Tubo who then still live with mom and dad at the tender age of 45. >Yes, I know, I started from point A and I'm getting to point Z jumping like a frog between other points! When you make certain reflections and you do them with a view to self-improvement, you inevitably end up digressing and touching on many aspects and many points; personal growth is a blender that brings together many elements, for this reason the more experience you gain the more you progress, the things to polish, to improve, to fix, even to completely overturn, are so many and sometimes a lifetime is not enough. Often, these thoughts I have seem to lead nowhere, or at least this can be the impression for the reader, but every time I feel a little more aware; certainly still, before getting to the point, my entire life will have to pass, but I know that I'm thinking about it and that I'm on the way and for me this is an important awareness. *** Now I'm aware that I'm feeling peckish so I say goodbye and I'm going to have a snack. Let's see if you can guess what my snack will be, I dare you! In the meantime, thank you for coming this far and I invite you to feel free to express your thoughts in the comments. # **
Hug you!
**
๐ ๐ ๐
*
Brave heart and gentle tongue will take you far into the jungle...
* *** *** **English is not my first language but I try, please forgive any errors.**
