Splintershards(SPS), has been the talk of the town for the last couple of hours in Splinterlands. A post was been created by by [Clayboyn](https://peakd.com/sps/@clayboyn/a-discussion-about-sps-exchanges-and-market-makers) where some detailed discussion was made about SPS current condition and what could be the future steps regarding exchanges current listing/market makers. I must say, this is to be the perfect time to make this discussion. Since, crypto market is slowly gaining some momentum and if everything goes according to the way it is being speculated, the next bull run might be here sonner than we can expect.

It is indeed a sensitive topic for discussion. Since, it is the native coin of Splinterlands, any positive/negative news regarding SPS, would eventually take a hit for itself. The effect of it can easily be seen in its price action and not to forget in amongst the eco system of the gaming community. Splinterlands has been in this gaming industry for quite some time.

Lets dive in and witness, what is going on in exchanges where SPS is currently listed upon. According to [Coingecko](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/splintershards#markets) these are the prime exchanges where SPS is currently being traded on :

* `Hive-Engine`
* `TribalDEX`
* `Pancakeswap`
* `Crypto.com`
* `Gate.io`
* `MEXC`
* `HTX`

If I am being honest, the statistics on these CEX are not very appealing.  It needs to be taken care of and that even very rigidly in the upcoming days. Before we go further, we probably will not get accurate details about volume, purchase from these CEX. This could be hoax and pure manipulation from these so called CEX. So called market makers play cheap tricks in these low volume tokens. Creating a demand with small volume purchase making it look like as if something is going on but in reality it was just a chase between a cat and a mouse. I tried using MEXC, Gate.io, MEXC for the last couple of days for trading SPS. Believe me, I alone have created this coin to reach higher highs for that particular hour with couple hundred bucks.

* ## Gate.io 
The current scenario in gate.io is not that appealing. Yes, the volume bar does seem to be increasing for the last couple of days. But considering the 24 volume in USDT it is literally nothing. We need more. And considering the fact about using gate.io there has been multiple issues and restrictions regarding the use of this CEX. I can not access it from my region and so many other countries are probably in the ban list of this exchange.

* ## Crypto.com
I am particularly not sure what should I talk about crypto.com. Its unrealistic volume of trading SPS or the restrictions that it provides for its users to get access to its exchange. It is a day chart that is being displayed, believe me you do not want to see the minute/5 minute chart. You will not be able to find volume bars for hours in the chart.

* ## MEXC
Getting around MEXC is very simple. Anybody can get access to this exchange very easily. Giving it some benefits over other exchanges. Not much KYC is required and not many restrictions are there as well. But when it comes to volume this CEX is no different than the others. 26k USDT in last 24 hours!

I literally do not know, what should I write about HTX. 212 USDT in last 24 hours! Really! Really! Really! I rest my case here!

What I can say as a user of Splinterlands, there are lots of ifs and but's happening around Splinterlands atm. As community we need to figure out a solution for this. We are lucky enough to have a DAO. It can help us grow the ecosystem. We have a dedicated community members who can share their thoughts regarding this matter. And oh yes, it is a very serious aspect, which needs to be taken care of ASAP! Words spread very fast! Be that it may good/bad. 
<br>
Market makers plays an important role for a coin/token. Also any sort of new partnership with other gaming communities can help us grow even faster. More decentralized exchange in other chains can help foster growth to our eco system. Lots of options are at hand. Let's explore those and make the right decision. As there are no scope of mistake where we are standing at. I am sort of waiting for Claybon's response from his earlier post. I hope there will something coming up, which would be good for us all in the long run!
