<center> ***"Of late, it is easy to notice a lot more people with a reputation score of 70 or greater. To me, this is a level where one is making a great deal of progress. That is an area where enough time is required along with contribution. It is not an easy level to achieve yet is not so onerous one is in rarified air."*** •@taskmaster4450 </center> <br> Do you know back then on steem, I use to think of a "70" rep as unachievable? About 6 months ago, I was "46" now i am "69" how far have i come and how much does this reputation journey mean to me? What exactly is my reputation goal on hive? Do you worry about this numbers? Or do you have a different reputation system for people? <center> [Image Source](https://www.thereputationpeople.com/) </center> <br> Too many questions right? Some of these questions and informations have been analysed and explained in @taskmaster4450's blog. If you haven't seen it yet, feel free to read up. ### [Is Hive's Reputation System Becoming Worth Something?](https://leofinance.io/@taskmaster4450/is-hive-s-reputation-system-becoming-worth-something) In his blog you can see the answers to many questions like how the hive reputation score is calculated, why some people have a better score than others. And how it easy it was when there were bidbots. ___ ### Reputation ___ These days I've been using Google a lot because i don't trust my definition of words anymore. Sometimes it's like only me understands myself lol. What does the dictionary define reputation as? > the beliefs or opinions that are generally held about someone or something. Believe it or not, reputation is everywhere! We as humans tend to judge people based on certain standards. Here on hive, there is a system that creates those standards. Today, I was explaining to someone how p2p transactions are done on binance. I explained that to find a good buyer for my USDT, I Factor the person's transaction rate. If it's above...let's say 80%, it means the person is trustworthy. ###### Isn't that a reputation system? Another view would be in politics. Before you can run for a postion, you must have certain standards that people would judge you with. So in a way, everyone is trying to present themselves to gain better judgement. Yes! Taskmaster4450's post highlights the intricacies of the Hive reputation system. While it might have it flaws, and some might not respect the system. However, there is something that makes me more happy about my reputation journey! > Those who joined of late, especially post-Hive hard fork, did not operate under that premise. Thus, could we take it to mean their scores are more telling? I joined after the fork with a reputation of "46", so that could mean my score perfectly reflects my efforts and contributions on chain. What's my point exactly? My point is, the realization that am close to my dream is something that suprises me. ___ ### A Reputation Of 70 ___ This has been my reputation goal for a long time now. I see people from the "70" mark as gods on the Blockchain. It looked like very impossible back then on steem. Well, it's pretty understandable, when my highest upvote was $30 which happened once. https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@samostically/4vhl9r-error-in-indicating-checkmated-king-while-watching It was a bug report to utopian. I got lucky i was able to reproduce the bug. Anyway, after that all i got was between the $0.00 to $2 despite whatever it is i wrote. #### I was having fun for free on steemit! <br> ___ ### Building A Reputation On Hive Based On Numbers ___ Again, This metric has been explained in taskmaster4450's blog. For me, I just put in alot of commitment to the Blockchain. Activity pays, and I can tell that to anyone. I'm a bit sad that my accommodation problems have hindered my interview series for close to a month now. But, certainly i would resume again soon. I enjoyed interviewing people on hive, most times, I give back the rewards earned on those interviews to my guests. Little did i know it was a building process for me. Yes, it helped build the numbers. Hive is fun, and at the same time, it's interesting how easy it can be to navigate around. Recently, i discovered how much fun it is in promoting hive on Twitter. I even think i have connected to more people on hive via Twitter. ___ ### In Conclusion.. ___ I have began the journey to my dream "70" reputation goal. I hope i achieve it. So what are your thoughts? Did you have a reputation goal when you started? What is your reputation goal now? Did you judge people based on the Hive reputation score? #### Thanks For Reading! south park gifs via tenor Posted Using [LeoFinance Beta](https://leofinance.io/@samostically/my-hive-reputation-journey-is-70-a-score-for-the-gods)
